Playwire Media is a full-service digital innovation partner that leverages online advertising and proprietary technologies to build publishing brands in the gaming and entertainment verticals. To keep pace with our explosive growth we are currently seeking a Video Producer.

The Video Producer is responsible for producing daily videos covering news stories and cultural topics. They will ensure the produced content is creatively on-brand and delivering on Playwire’s measures of success. Candidates may also produce marketing and promotional video for Playwire and direct clients.

Essential Functions:

· Support ongoing production and editing of custom short-form video content

· Drive all aspects of production including shooting, directing, and editing to deliver high-quality videos

· Pitch, research, outline, and script short-form editorial content

· Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining Playwire’s creative standards

· Develop new and creative ways to streamline and optimize video production processes

· Use data insights to create content ideas that align with Playwire’s best practices and strategic goals

· Assist in operating cameras and sound equipment when needed

· Think creatively to produce new ideas and design concepts

· Work closely with supervisors to expand Playwire’s product offerings


· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent

· 1-3 years of experience in video production; or equivalent combination of education or experience

· An impressive creative portfolio that clearly shows knowledge and execution of good video editing and design

· Expert working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects

· Must be comfortable working in Illustrator and Photoshop

· A passion for bringing news stories and cultural topics to life

· Skilled in building narratives through visual storytelling

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team under close direction

· Experience with motion graphics and with mixing audio

· Must be comfortable with most video codecs and formats

· Able to meet tight deadlines and handle pressure

· Ability to balance multiple priorities, projects and tasks

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to give and receive critical feedback in a small team environment

· Willingness and desire to collaborate across different teams

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience editing in a news-driven environment

· Experience with voice overs a plus
Well organized and capable of rolling with change
