Account Manager, Publisher Relations

The Account Manager, Publisher Relations is a sales-minded, detail-oriented persuader who onboards and manages new publisher accounts brought in by our Business Development team. They regularly review data from multiple sources to gain and execute on empirical knowledge to ensure that our publisher accounts are yielding the best results with the inventory being sent to us. In addition, they also assist in the execution of custom ad units/sponsorships and liaise between multiple lines of business. This person has an innate ability to manage expectations of clients and deliver clear, concise messages at all levels of a business hierarchy.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist key publishers with questions and concerns regarding their accounts
  • Create publisher accounts such as ad tags, targets, adding to campaigns, activation, etc. this includes any level of partnership with the company
  • Respond to any type of support ticket that comes through the publisher interface
  • Using formulas to derive rates and other data points (such as impressions per pageview, publisher revenue share or percentage increase or decrease over a specific amount of time)
  • Stay current on all new products & process management releases relevant to publisher onboarding and maintenance
  • Collaborate with Creative and Ad Ops teams in the creation, approval & delivery process of custom executions
  • Create and manage communication flow between Publisher Support and Global Sales team to they are aware of and selling against new publisher relationships
  • Conduct outreach for more inventory from publisher network partners when demand is high
  • Ability to address and/or resolve in a reasonable amount of time questions that come through from publishers or company after office hours or over the weekend
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in advertising or sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic knowledge of websites and advertising, JavaScript, and using an ad servers (such as DoubleClick for Publishers)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; strong knowledge of Excel
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workflows at once
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
