To keep pace with our explosive growth we are currently seeking a Director of Programmatic Ad Operations. The Director Programmatic Ad Operations is responsible for overseeing all programmatic campaigns from Playwire’s global Sales team and will be managing a team of programmatic Ad Ops professionals. Duties include managing the trafficking, delivery, optimization, troubleshooting, and reporting of Deal IDs for multiple advertisers within the Ad Ops team. You will work with Ad ops team members and other departments, specifically Sales, Account Services, and Tech to address any campaign issues in a timely manner. You will also engage closely with our Sales team as well as Advertiser and Agency contacts on a regular basis to ensure that programmatic campaigns are communicated, set up, and managed properly. A key part of this position is a proactive tenacity to troubleshoot any Deal ID issues internally but also externally with agency partners. In addition, finding ways to scale existing and new campaigns in revenue is a must. The Director Programmatic Ad Operations also closely analyzes open exchange buying behavior and provides data on advertisers and their buying tactics to other departments at Playwire (Sales, Yield Operations, Exec Team, etc.).


  • Fully manage all programmatic campaign activities ensuring optimal performance and delivery, constantly exceeding client KPI expectations
  • Determine ways of increasing programmatic revenue in conjunction with the direct sales team
  • Manage multiple Ad Ops professionals for programmatic campaigns
  • Troubleshoot Deal IDs, pixels/tags, creative, and 3rd party vendors to ensure proper campaign execution
  • Effectively work alongside fellow team members, 3rd party vendors, and clients to launch and optimize campaigns
  • QA and validate the accuracy of campaigns of junior campaign members
  • Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams and clients
  • Communicate new product updates/features and value to internal teams
  • Team up with Sales & Account Services to develop upsell strategy to clients with the use of data & analytics, marketplace trends, and new features/products
  • Keep up to date with the evolving digital ecosystem and relevant cultural events that may have an impact on campaigns
  • Proactively find opportunities to grow the business by diving into campaign analytics and marketplace trends
  • Serve as a role model to junior team members, and serve as an escalation point and solution provider


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent
  • 5+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent experience in various Ad Servers (GAM, SpotX etc.), DSPs (TTD, DV360, Xandr etc.) and SSPs (Google AdX, Magnite, Xandr etc.) as well as DMPs and other 3rd party systems
  • Excellent experience across various inventory types (Web, App, OTT) as well as media formats like Display and Video
  • Excellent experience in all things Programmatic Advertising, PMPs & Deal IDs
  • Excellent experience in campaign trafficking, optimization, troubleshooting, reporting and analytics
  • Experience in leading a team of Ad Ops professionals with a focus on programmatic
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other data & analytics tools that relate to Ad Ops and campaign management
  • Proven characteristics of consistent accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational capabilities
