Playwire is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead our efforts in cultivating and engaging with key publisher partners, specifically those with annual revenues between $100K and $1M. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in identifying opportunities, building strong relationships, and closing deals that directly contribute to our expansion within the publisher ad tech space.
As a key driver of company growth, you'll be responsible for developing tailored solutions and delivering compelling presentations that resonate with our target publishers. What You'll Do:
As our Business Development Manager, you'll play a critical role in expanding our publisher network and driving revenue. Your responsibilities will include:
- Generate New Business: Identify and generate new opportunities, crafting and delivering persuasive sales presentations to potential publisher partners.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and maintain strong, need-based marketing relationships with new and existing clients through research, cold calling, lead qualification, and exceptional customer service.
- Drive Account Expansion: Proactively explore and identify opportunities to expand business with current clients by understanding their evolving needs and presenting aligned solutions.
- Refine Sales Strategy: Develop and continuously refine an effective sales presentation, testing and utilizing it in the field to achieve successful outcomes.
- Close & Retain: Implement robust plans for closing deals and nurturing long-term customer relationships, with a strong focus on retention and satisfaction.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze partner data to accurately forecast revenue, ensuring we meet our financial metrics and goals. You'll also regularly review site analytics to maintain data accuracy and optimize performance.
- Optimize Prospecting: Contribute valuable insights and ideas to continuously refine Playwire's prospecting strategy and approach.
- Communicate Value: Effectively communicate the unique value of our offerings, establish a sense of urgency, and provide compelling solutions to potential clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with our legal teams on contracts to protect company interests, and guide the Client Relations Team on site setup post-deal finalization for a smooth transition.
- Maintain CRM Accuracy: Meticulously maintain and update our CRM system with precise and current information on leads, contacts, and opportunities.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Remain informed about industry best practices and trends to ensure our strategies remain competitive.
- Represent Playwire: Attend conferences and trade shows as needed, providing post-event reports and analyses to identify growth opportunities.
What You Bring:
You're a results-oriented professional with a strong background in business development in the AdTech Space.
- Experience: 3+ years of related business development or sales experience, with a specific focus on publisher-side ad technology or monetization solutions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Acumen: Working knowledge of Excel, Google Analytics, DFP (Google Ad Manager), JavaScript, and PowerPoint.
- Dynamic Presence: A dynamic personality with high energy, exceptional presentation, and strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically, remain calm and professional in stressful situations, and solve problems effectively.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Results-Driven: A proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
- Independent & Adaptable: Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines, and a self-starter who can work independently and adapt quickly to different selling situations.
